DUMBO (short for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is a vibrant neighborhood in Brooklyn, not Manhattan, despite the name. It sits between the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge along the East River, and it's known for its iconic views, cobblestone streets, and creative energy.

The Manhattan Bridge itself is a suspension bridge that connects Lower Manhattan (at Canal Street) to Downtown Brooklyn (at Flatbush Avenue Extension), and DUMBO offers one of the most photographed views in New York City: the bridge perfectly framed between red-brick buildings on Washington Street, with the Empire State Building visible through its lower arch.
